OUR COMMITTEE

Members and Supporters,

We would like to thank you all for your wonderful support of Valleys each year.

In past seasons we have seen a lot of participation from parents and supporters volunteering time to undertake roles around the club such as looking after the fields, grounds and surrounding gardens, assisting with maintenance and taking on game day responsibilities including the tower and duty official roles.

Clubs cannot function without the support of volunteers so it has been really pleasing to watch as everyone works together to help our wonderful club run smoothly.

In 2021 we are confident that we we will again increase in both junior and senior player numbers, particularly in the senior program as we maintain our current BRL A Grade, BRL Reserve Grade and Northside opens competitions and introduce a new Under 20's team and most exciting is the new Women's BHP Premiership team. Naturally, this will result in an increased workload in the office and around the club meaning we will be seeking more nominations for committee and sub-committee roles.

In early 2021 we hope to finalise some significant pieces of work including the implementation of our new club constitution, the roll out of our strategic plan and a review of our facility development plan. By implementing a new committee and sub-committee structure we are creating more roles on the committees which will reduce the workload and also allow committee persons to focus on their interests in either junior or senior football. The sub-committees will work together with the committee to ensure we function as one collaborative and successful club providing the support needed for all teams from Under 6 up to BRL A -Grade and BHP Premiership.

The specifics of this structure are still being finalised and pending approval of our constitution, however we hope to see many new committee nominations to build our team for an exciting year in 2021.

To express an interest in a committee or sub-committee position, please contact us for more information and to discuss how we can work together to benefit this wonderful club.

Attached you will find a suite of role descriptions which are still in draft format. If there is a role you would like to know more about, or if you have an interest in taking on one of these roles via a job share arrangement, please contact one of our committee for more information.

Thank you, and we look forward to seeing you at Emerson Park soon.

Regards
